Sports for All Delhi NCR Championship 2024-25

"Success is where preparation and opportunity meet."

At the 'Sports for All Delhi NCR Championship' held on 22nd October at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, the young athletes got the opportunity to showcase their talent and determination.

In the under-14 long jump event, Upen Baisla, a student of St. Thomas School,Loni, secured a remarkable silver medal for his incredible performance.

In the shot put event too, the school clinched the gold medal.

Reaching to the top of the podium, made this championship an unforgettable achievement.

 

 

SSM Memorial Cricket Tournament 2024-25

Our school's cricket team participated in ' SSM Memorial Cricket Tournament' held at New Era School, Ghaziabad on 22nd October.

After challenging matches we proudly secured 3rd place. The tournament was the right mix of talent and teamwork of our players, their dedication and sportsmanship.

Our school continues to excel in sports by securing the 2nd position in the Under-17 Basketball Tournament organized by New Era School, Ghaziabad on 12th August. The event witnessed fierce competition and the team's exceptional teamwork, and dedication.

DESH AUR HUM 3.0 2024-25

Our school proudly participated in DESH AUR HUM 3.0, a prestigious national-level competition aimed at empowering young citizens to showcase their creativity and vision for the nation. Ujjwal Verma of Class 7C displayed his artistic brilliance in Category 1 with themes Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Vansh Verma of Class 8C excelled in Category 2, creatively exploring Taxes: Bedrock of a Strong Nation and Youth and Taxes: Building a Responsible Future.

CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition 2024-25

"Innovation is the key to a sustainable future."

Our school participated in the CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition held at Lotus Valley International School, Greater Noida, on 6th November, competing in the category for classes 6 to 8.

Representing the school, Ananya(8A) and Vansh Verma(8C) presented an exceptional model under the sub-theme of Waste Management.

Titled as EcoFusion: Sustainable Solutions, the project showcased innovative ideas to reduce and repurpose waste effectively.

Representing our school, Ananya from 8A and Vansh Verma from 8C brought their vision of eco-friendly solutions to life with enthusiasm and commitment and we emerged victorious!

Their remarkable work has earned us a place at the National Level Science Exhibition.

Students from Classes V to IX of our school participated in Compufest, an inspiring celebration of technological and cultural prowess organised by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School on 26th October. Victory Defined by Spirit: Celebrating Success at 'Khoj'

During the inter-school 'Khoj' event held on the 26th of October at Indirapuram Public School, students from classes I-XII put in great efforts earning themselves gold, silver, and bronze medals. Among other achievements, they secured the first position in Bhavishya Darshan Katha, the second position in Admad Show, and their stylized roles as a Cultural Ambassador, and Taanz took precedence in the third position along with Choral Harmony, Artful Canvas, and Mathematical mystery tour. Each of these achievements is a testament of the students’ talent and their creativity.

In a proud moment,Sarthak,a nursery student of our school, stood out in the event "Regalia: The Brigade of Superheroes," securing the third position in an Interschool event oragnised by G. D. Goenka School in the month of August.

The K.C. Garg Memorial Inter-School Tech Symposium, Digilogous 10.0, saw enthusiastic participation from St. Thomas School, Loni students. Arnav Yadav, (Class V C) from St. Thomas School, Loni, won a consolation prize in the ByteBattle event, showcasing his quick thinking and technical knowledge. The tech symposium was a valuable experience for the students of St. Thomas School, Loni.

 

REVERBERATION 2024-25

An Inter School Competition – Reverberation & SPS MUN was organised on 26th & 27th July, 2024 by St. Pauls School, Hauz Khas to provide exquisite experiential learning to the Participants with the motto to encourage new talents & to celebrate Indian culture in the form of folk Dance, Yoga & Songs.
St. Thomas School, Loni participated in different categories of the event. All the participants from classes 4-12, prepared zealously to excel in their respective events. Remarkable Speeches at MUN, melodious touch to western & motivational songs, energetic folk dance form & breath-taking Yogasanam, Thomasanians gave their best into the competition.
It was a proud moment for the school, as we bagged Third position in Western Group Song (Senior) & Second position at Yogasanam. The Event was well organised by the Host School – St. Pauls School, Hauz Khas.

 

MANTHAN 2024-25

Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate, and doubt to offer a solution everybody can understand.

The Manthan Inter-School Debate Competition held on 11th May 2024, hosted by Delhi Public School (DPS), was attended by our debating warriors- Jiya Kaushik (XII-A), Ishaan (XII-B) and Priyanka Jha (XI-D), that brought together 30 schools from the region to engage in intellectual discourse and friendly competition. The event aimed to foster critical thinking, public speaking skills, and teamwork among students.
The competition followed a structured format, commencing with a Group discussion consisting of all teams followed by the debating teams pitted against each other. Each team had a Proposer, Promoter and Polemic speaker who presented their views. Debates were conducted in multiple rounds, with topics ranging from contemporary social issues to philosophical debates.
Schools from various backgrounds and regions participated, enriching the debate with diverse perspectives and ideas. Participants, engaged in intense and well-researched arguments, showcased their knowledge and eloquence. Spectators, including students, and teachers actively participated by asking questions during the Q&A sessions, further enhancing the intellectual exchange.
A panel of experienced educators and professionals served as judges, evaluating the debates based on criteria such as content, delivery, and rebuttals. After a series of competitive rounds, the winners were announced amidst applause and cheers. Priyanka Jha of XI-D, was adjudged as the Master Orator for two rounds and was awarded trophies too.
The Manthan Inter-School Debate Competition at DPS served as a platform for students to sharpen their communication skills, broaden their perspectives, and build lasting connections with peers from other schools. The event not only celebrated academic excellence but also promoted the values of collaboration, respect, and open-mindedness among young debaters.

Athena 2024

The Athena, inter-school competition held at St. John’s school on 10th May 2024, flagged off with great enthusiasm and fervor with the huge crowd of students across Delhi NCR. The programme commenced with seeking Almighty’s blessings through a prayer song, followed by a welcome dance and addressal by the senior authorities of the school. The event was filled with a range of highly entertaining and captivating events spanning a broad spectrum of activities like dancing, singing, painting, computer programming and many more. Our school has also emerged victorious in many of the events of this inter-school competition. Our talented students showcased their skills, dedication, and teamwork, bringing home an array of prizes. Our students gave outstanding performances in singing, dancing, and enacting, they truly shined and made us incredibly proud. The event proved to be an apt stage for exhibiting creativity and talent. In all, Athena 2024 was truly a profoundly motivating and electrifyingly entertaining event.

“Technology is the best tool we can use to reinvent education.”

18th May 2024- Students of St. Thomas School, Loni, participated in ‘Kechnovation’, an interschool competition hosted by Khaitan Public School, Shahibabad.

The students participated in two events- “Code the Game” and “Brand Design Challenge”. Akshat Walia and Ishaan Sahlot of class V, took part in the "Code the Game" event, while Avantika Porwal, Prachi, and Shaurya Kumar Sharma (from class X ) competed in the "Brand Design Challenge". The students showcased remarkable creativity and technical skills for which each of them was given a certificate of appreciation The event provided valuable learning experiences and fostered enthusiasm for future competitions.

Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2023

 

The Aryabhata Ganit Challenge is an initiative aimed at promoting mathematical excellence and problem-solving skills among students.
Application of Mathematics in daily life needs the development of certain competencies and to promote such competencies among students through joyful assessment, Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) is conducted by CBSE. This test mainly focuses on the extent to which students can apply mathematics to their daily lives. Our school participated in Level 1 and around 40 students attempted it. Out of which top 3 scorers, i.e. PRIYANSHU (VIII-B), AVIRAJ BAINSLA (IX-B) and SAKSHAM BHARDWAJ(X-A) were selected to participate in Level-2

 

UTSAV- AN INTERSCHOOL COMPETITION FOR KINDERGARTEN, 2023

 

On 4th September 2023, St. Thomas School, Indirapuram hosted the Inter-School Competition for the Kindergarten Wing, by the name of ‘UTSAV 2023’. Science is inexplicably linked with our lives and helps us to understand the world around us better. It thus becomes imperative to encourage our students to think, learn, solve problems and make informed decisions.
Participation in the Science exhibition is an opportunity to explore real-world challenges, learn more about science and technology, and apply scientific ideas to solve them.
Students of St. Thomas School, Loni participated in CBSE Regional Science Exhibition which was held in Manthan School, Greater Noida on 9th December 2022. From the junior category, Vedant Pant of class VI-B and Aryaveer of class VIII-A presented their models in the exhibition. It was a great opportunity to interact with co-participants, mentors, and leading experts in the field of science, and the students got an opportunity to learn about different facets of science.

CHITROTSAVA- The festival of colours

 

Vidya Bharti School Ghaziabad, organized an Inter school art competition for different categories on 22nd December 2022. St. Thomas School, Loni took part in three categories and showcased the talents of budding artists.

To mark the birth anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician, Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on 22 December. As part of celebrations, S. D. Global School has successfully hosted “GANITAGYA” Inter School Competition on 20th December 2022.

The mathematics day was celebrated with the objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situation and also to create students interest in studying mathematics.

St. Thomas School, Loni participated in this competition under different categories. All the students participated with equal calibre but Vedant Giria V-B and Sayed Wali Imam V-A, brought laurels to our school by bagging the third position.

Madam Principal applauded the winners and all the participants for their efforts and wished them luck for all future endeavours.

Zenith-2022

‘Reach the zenith of success by working hard little by little and day by day.’
3rd November 2022, Thursday-Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence. Going on the same belief, St. Thomas School, Loni participated in an Interschool Competition organized by St. Gregorious School,Dwarka. The school participated in a myriad of activities that were conducted for the juniors as well as the seniors through an online portal.

The competitions were a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity, and alertness. Whether it was a state dance, art, creative blog writing, yoga, radio jockey, news anchoring, etc, the activities helped to bring out the uniqueness of each individual.

All the students participated with equal caliber and potential but in the end, some stood out shining brighter than the others. School bagged the following positions-

STS-MUN 2022

‘STS MUN - Model United Nations’ was organised by St. Thomas School, Indirapuram. Our students also participated in the MUN inter-school competition and illuminated their talents in four days programme. First two days (17-18 Oct, 2022) was the training session and on 20-21 Oct, 2022 MUN was organised. Approximately 175 students had participated from the three branches of St. Thomas Family. They were divided into three committees, observed by Executive Body (EB). It was for the first time that the school participated in MUN. Students learned and enjoyed a lot during these days and gave their best performance. Out of the 15 students of our school, following two students were awarded the MUN certificate and trophy for their excellent performance:

UTSAV- AN INTERSCHOOL COMPETITION FOR KINDERGARTEN is one such platform that invites Kindergarteners to exhibit their talents and win exciting prizes every year. It is indeed a promising show for kids to display creativity, confidence and spontaneity. Brimming with great enthusiasm and exuberance St. Thomas School Kindergarten (Indirapuram) invited almost 15 schools along with us to participate in it.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT is a nationwide movement in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their lives.

Fit India was launched on 29th August 2019 by the Hon'ble Prime Minister. The mission of the movement is to bring about behavioural changes and to move toward a more physically active lifestyle.

So, an initiative has been made for the same by our school, from 11th January to 16th January St. Thomas school organized virtual fit India week for awareness, about how physical fitness is necessary for student as well as parents in a day to day life. Students participated enthusiastically in fitness week to enhance their fitness.

Bharat Vikas Parishad is a voluntary organization where citizens from all walks of life join to work for the development and growth of our country in all fields of human endeavour through promoting a sense of patriotism, national unity and integrity and culminating in Swasth-Samarth-Sanskrit Bharat i.e. physically, economically and morally strong India. On 22nd September 2020, Adya Bansal of class 6-A has bagged 2nd position in Bharat Vikas Parishad Sahibabad Virat, Swaragini Rashtriya Samoohagaan - Ekal Geet Pratiyogita(Solo Song Competition on Google Meet and brought glory to the school.

Herm Edwards may have said it best, yet over the course of sports history, certain people have personified this adage better than others. Students of St. Thomas School, Loni participated in the District Level Athletic Championship on 4th October 2019 and illuminated their talents in the events like Shot Put and Long Jump.
Pahal of class VII bagged silver medal for long jump and Shubham of class VII fetched bronze for long jump.
