Annual Sports Meet
Saturday, 8th November,2025- St. Thomas School, Loni, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet –SPARK 2025–26 with grandeur, enthusiasm and a spirit of unity. This year’s theme, “Roots and Races,” beautifully captured the essence of how strong values, culture and discipline (our roots) combine with perseverance, teamwork and excellence to shape well-rounded individuals.
The event commenced with a warm welcome to the audience, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest, Ms. Shiny Sunny, Indian Naval Commander, who was accorded a majestic entry led by the school’s newly formed Brass Band. Their synchronized performance—prepared in just a few days—received heartfelt applause from the gathering.

The programme began with a soulful prayer led by the school choir, followed by the hoisting of the school flag by the dignitaries. The gathering then joined in singing the School Anthem, reinforcing the spirit of unity and pride.A captivating Invocation Dance presented by the talented students added vibrancy, symbolizing culture, devotion and positivity.
The Deputy Head Boy, Pranjal Harbola, delivered a heartfelt Welcome Address that set the tone for the celebrations. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Biju Daniel, who inspired students to embrace discipline, sportsmanship, and excellence. Principal, Mrs. Shali Nair, addressed the gathering with her insightful words.
The event also felicitated the CBSE Toppers of the Academic Session 2024–25 from Classes X and XII, honouring their dedication, hard work, and outstanding academic performance. In addition, in honour of the visionary theologian and philosopher the school proudly presented the prestigious Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios (PMG) Award to meritorious students of Class IX and X who demonstrated consistent excellence, commendable conduct and active participation in school activities.
The school proudly recognized Mr. Rajeev Prasad for completing 25 years of dedicated service. His contributions were celebrated with immense respect and gratitude. The event proceeded with the ceremonial Walk of Honour, celebrating the spirit of perseverance, courage and sportsmanship. It marked the beginning of the athletic events that showcased teamwork, discipline and enthusiasm.
The event also witnessed the declaration of the Best Athletes across categories. Outstanding performers from classes 6–8, 9–10, and 11–12 were honoured for their exceptional skill, consistency and sportsmanship throughout the meet. Adding to the excitement, the much-awaited Best House Trophy was proudly lifted by Aravali House, celebrating their collective excellence in performance, coordination and overall championship spirit.
Agamya, Deputy Head Girl, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, teachers and students for their support and enthusiastic participation.
SPARK 2025–26 was a vibrant celebration of achievement, culture, sportsmanship and unity. The event successfully highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, value-driven and dynamic learners. The day concluded with cheers, pride and the promise of greater heights ahead.
