5^th October, 2019- On the occasion of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ and the ongoing ‘Ban Plastic Drive’,

St. Thomas School, Loni, has taken an initiative to ban plastic within the school premises and also to educate and motivate the people in the neighborhood.

The message for the same was conveyed through banners and quotes displayed in the school along with a presentation to spread awareness among the students. Badges with slogans ‘Say No To Plastic’ and ‘Planet Saver’ were also distributed to the staff and students. Students from classes V to VII presented a Nukkad Natak at two different places: Inter college, Loni and Bus Stand, Loni on Saturday ,5^th October, 2019. The Nukkad Natak reflected the harmful effects of the usage of plastic on flora, fauna and human beings with the banners and placards. The high enthusiastic level of the students attracted the attention of many passersby.

The students conveyed their message effectively to the public. Even they practically applied this message by distributing cloth bags to the customers at the grocery shops around and asked them to henceforth stop the usage of the plastic bags.
